We are a new Swedish tech startup dedicated to interesting conversations.
What do we do?
We are building Two2Talk, a brand new digital platform for engaging conversations. This means that anyone with a hobby, interest, or passion can find like-minded individuals and easily book video calls on those topics.
Where did the idea come from?
The idea originated from an intensive world tour to leading incubators on five continents. The key lesson was the value of having the right people around you. That is, being able to speak openly with people who are passionate about the same things as you are.
- If we get a bit philosophical, one can see people as energy, and if people don’t get to express their interests and ideas, this energy slowly fades away. But if you can open channels through conversations with people who are passionate about the same issues, this energy grows and can become incredibly powerful, says Erik Wallin, one of the three founders, who has a background in entrepreneurship, investment promotion, and business development.
- From these perspectives, we are creating an opportunity for all people who are open and have good intentions to easily have deep conversations about what they are passionate about. In simplicity, we believe that the key to much lies in the meeting between people – and that’s where the real magic happens, says his co-founder Marcus Pallvid, who has been involved in creating several different meeting places.
- The platform is built with ASP.NET Core and Entity Framework in the backend and with React in the frontend. The platform is distributed in a Kubernetes cluster at AWS. We are building a website first, and then apps for Android and iOS will follow, explains co-founder Magnus Wahlström, who has a solid background in software development.
- We see a lack of a safe place beyond all the noise and trolls where you can talk 1-1 with real people. Therefore, we place a great emphasis on ethics, safety, and security, says Erik.
How is it going?
It’s full speed ahead; we have a strong team in place with support from fantastic people, ranging from successful company founders to international researchers focused on conversations. We have joined the Founders Loft incubator in Gothenburg, validated the need, built a beta version, and are now in dialogue with angel investors in Gothenburg and Stockholm who are also passionate about interesting conversations.
When will we see the platform live?
We launched the test version on May 1st 2022 for the Swedish market.
